The Year of Great Health.

January 6, 2017

That's right, 2017 is going to be your year. You'll be healthier, fresher and full of energy. Your mind will be clearer and your boots will be muddier. You'll stride out with confidence and be prepared for all the events ahead.

I'm going to make sure of it.

This year the newsletter is designed to lead you gently through 365 days of focused, healthy living. Just  read it every Tuesday to keep on target. Each week I'll supply you with at least one of three types of message. DO, LEARN, CONTRIBUTE.

DO:

"DO" articles will provide you with specific tasks like exercise programmes or planning tasks. They're designed to work your body all through the year with scope to improve your fitness levels. Don't worry, there's plenty of breathers and opportunities to retrench or progress. I'll push you and you'll keep up.

 LEARN:

"LEARN" articles will help you understand why your health is important and how to avoid common pitfalls. Health is rarely ruined in a day and the opposite also applies. By reading and using the LEARN articles you'll find it easy to make small but incremental changes to your lifestyle which will have big effects over 2017.

CONTRIBUTE:

"CONTRIBUTE" articles will connect you with events like National Obesity Week so we can all be part of something bigger than ourselves. Participation with other people improves our communities, increases our empathy and builds accountability in our lives. Combine this with our health goals we can truly say we're caring for mind, body and soul.

By December you'll know what it feels like to be in control of your health and fitness. You'll have celebrated successful long term changes and be confident that you can make more. You'll fall off the wagon, pick yourself up and learn from the experience. Never mind half hearted promises, self help guides or poorly thought out resolutions. Stick with me and you'll learn week by week when it pays to plan plus the short cuts that take the heavy lifting out of improving your health.
